my depression must be getting the best of me at times because it is so long in between postings. in any case there is much to post about. November 16th this year Pat and I got married. It was a long time coming, but so glad it is done now. We also started using tobacco again. I sure could have used it while planning the wedding day, either that or a good stiff drink for most days.

Pat's dad got diagnosed with cancer so we are all worrying about that as well. I crochet more then a few baby afghans. Gave a few away, kept a few for future gifts, but still trying to sell some on craigslist.

I took a class on hat knitting and completed my first hand knit hat last night. I have already started to knit my second.

once again its been a long time before i post anything here. today i feel terrible. i got sick and it is awful. the pain in my body is worse too. my throat is really sore and it is hard to swallow anything. i found out that my daughter is having a baby girl in february, so i crocheted a baby afghan for her

i closed my etsy shop because i wasn't selling anything. so now just making things or me and my own family. i started crocheting myself a sweater. i need the clothing. i am planning on making a few for me. maybe i will enjoy doing these things a little bit more. i doubt it though. i don't really enjoy anything anymore.

I can hardly believe it is May already before I post something new tot he blog. Oh well such as it is. I have been keeping busy with 6 knit or crochet projects lately. I am almost finished with a new afghan for the shop. I have another one that is not yet near complete I am working on, and one for my younger sister I am working on and I have been crocheting a wrap and knitting a scarf. The last month has been quite hectic.

Miles went back to the vet for a second shot for his mites. He is so much better. We got a puppy from a friend of ours. She is a small handful too. We had to take her for shots, a baby tooth that needed pulling and a spay surgery. She barks constantly. I miss Bobbie on that account, but not every dog is the same. She is pretty good on all other things though. Miles comes out more and plays with her some. So that in itself was worth all the trouble having a puppy can bring. She is company for me and I need it, so not complaining.

I got new glasses again too. I had to get trifocals this year, man I feel really old now, but the doctor recommended progressive lenses. Boy they are hard to get used to. I am slowly getting used to them. I got my transitions lenses for the first time in my life too. I love those for sure.

I have been letting my hair grow out, its at the point now where I can put it up off my neck and pin it back so it doesn't tangle in the wind, so I like that ok. I am still smoking out on the deck every day. Some days more then others.

seems like a lot more time goes on between blogging anymore. i have been keeping busy with my crafting. i completed two hats on the loom this morning. i havent made anything on my knitting machine that was any good yet. but i know i need to keep trying. we finally got the roof on the deck so i can have shelter while i am smoking outside now. that has been such a blessing for me.
friday we took miles into the vet for hair loss and found out he had mange mites. so he got three shots and might have to go back in two weeks for one more shot, but he is getting better. although its gonna take a while for his coat to get pretty.

so today i am really groggy because i stayed up late trying to fashion a cat bed out of an old wicker laundry basket, some fleece and polyester fiberfill. it turned out acceptable I think.

I finally got around this morning. I had to put a package out for the postman to pick up today. I almost forgot about that, so i stumbled out of the house in my nightgown and robe to place the package where i said it would be. then i came in to sit for a few minutes and get myself together. i was so shaky this morning. glad it is over for the time being. so i have done my usual getting around stuff, showered, dressed, scooped the litter box, etc.

i have decided I have to get more older baby hats in the shop. i only have two left after all the sales this winter, and winter pretty much has just started. will try that today i guess. i am still trying to finish an afghan i am in process of crocheting. its big and heavy now so i have some trouble working on it. no reading will be done today unless i need a break.

happy new year

so i slept through the new year turning over. i guess it was for the best. Pat finally decided to let me have a cat, and we adopted a shelter cat. He is an older one so kinda shy and scared, but life is better out of a cage. He still hides but visits us in the master bathroom when we use it. Kinda funny. Stays under our bed most of the rest of the time but its only been 3 days, so i can live with that. He is eating finally and using his litter box. poor guy had a rough life so far. was on his own for a while then hit by a car last September, and then caged for several months. he was so underweight at the time he was found it s a miracle he survived everything. he still could stand to put on a couple of pounds.

still having back troubles. ran out of pain medicine. not looking forward to getting up and trying to do anything these days.
