so today i am really groggy because i stayed up late trying to fashion a cat bed out of an old wicker laundry basket, some fleece and polyester fiberfill. it turned out acceptable I think.

I finally got around this morning. I had to put a package out for the postman to pick up today. I almost forgot about that, so i stumbled out of the house in my nightgown and robe to place the package where i said it would be. then i came in to sit for a few minutes and get myself together. i was so shaky this morning. glad it is over for the time being. so i have done my usual getting around stuff, showered, dressed, scooped the litter box, etc.

i have decided I have to get more older baby hats in the shop. i only have two left after all the sales this winter, and winter pretty much has just started. will try that today i guess. i am still trying to finish an afghan i am in process of crocheting. its big and heavy now so i have some trouble working on it. no reading will be done today unless i need a break.

Last night I tore apart the project I was working on and started over again completely. I think it is much better since I started it over but I am still concerned about it. I got quite a bit done last night but I had to quit because my arm was hurting. I am thinking I will change the pattern a bit to make it better all around.

I also found out for sure last night that my youngest is planning on moving to Washington state next year. I am not really looking forward to her leaving again, but I know I have to cut the cord. I it just that I have missed her so the last couple of years. I guess I can't hold on forever.

i decided that I am closing my artfire shop very soon. i just don't sell anything i make. so no point in keeping it open and worrying all the time.

i had insomnia some awful last night so i finished this crocheted rug for a friend of ours last night.

I finally got my own sewing/crafting room seperate from the guestroom :) I am so excited. I spent some time in there today making the curtains that are hanging in the room window in the picture. :) I think that the room turned out pretty good all things considered. I wish it was a little bigger, or I had some shelves, but all in all I am pretty happy with it.

crocheting a new purse currently. i think it will turn out pretty good. this is the start of it. I am really enjoying my crafting lately. I think I need to buy more purse handles.

i just completed a new small purse/handbag and listed it in my srtfire shop. i really want to make a crocheted afghan.

my gosh the time does fly when you are keeping busy. i had no idea it had been so long since i posted anything. i have been so busy using my new sewing machine and crocheting and teaching myself to knit that it seems i have little time for anything else. the holidays where especially difficult when i was trying to make gifts for everyone on my list, and once i thought i was finished doing that someone new would be added. then i had to deal with after Holiday depression because not all the gifts i made for certain people where appreciated. that killed my gift giving spirit for real. but not i am back into working and i have recently completed crocheting my first sweater. placed it for sale in my shop so you can find it there.

i am still on the weight roller coaster and i have to try to dedicate myself to the diet better. i have had terrible issues with blood sugar drops. weight this morning was 305.8 on my brand new glass scale. Jesus how I wish it was just so easy to loose 100 pounds. but it isn't easy at all. after eating like a pig yesterday today i have to try to rededicate myself to the weight loss again. i feel terrible this morning and i should. i am disgusted with myself.

i kept busy all day long crocheting dog slip leads. they turned out very well and my dog groomer friend is so pleased with them because they actually work the way they are supposed to. She got two of them today. She calls them my bungee leashes. He hardest pulling dog stopped pulling on that lead. :) I may have found something here.

oddly enough once i got the package pickup completed i felt more awake. i have been crocheting and knitting all day long but I still feel ready to do more before giving up for the night. i am almost finished with the afghan i have been working on. i think i will be finished with it tomorrow sometime. it is a scrap afghan. I have decided to call my scrap yarn stuff, waste not want not collection.

i feel exhausted today. i had to take another sleeping pill last night and something for my restless leg to get to sleep. of course i slept a ton yesterday off and on all day long. today i have to remain awake for the carrier pick up i requested for my package that is shipping out. have two projects i am working on to keep me busy today. i have to get more done on the cashmere neck scarf i am knitting and i am crocheting a granny afghan out of the remaining dazzleaire yarn i have. I think i am also going to have to pull out my store totes and place the price/info tags on all my completed items. that will take a while now.

i actually had a sale today at my etsy shop. the Christmas towel and potholder set sold for $15. this is my second sale this year.

getting ready for what looks to be a busy day. in fact I have already started the laundry. for some reason i was too busy working to do laundry this week. i am surprised i have any clean underwear to wear today. i have plannned to work on some more dishcloths, washrags and potholders today, maybe another dog/cat leash. I guess just whatever hits me today. i am still sewing the afghan together but taking a bit more time since i am hurting a lot. it is a cold morning today. i may need to make coffee.

i crocheted a lot of little stuff while taking a break from hand sewing the crocheted squares together. one item was a dog leash. my first ever, but i think it really turned out great.

maybe just maybe I have slept enough to get some work done this evening. i bought a new banner for my etsy shop today also. i also sold my old cell phone on ebay finally

i am working really hard to try to complete the afghan and the neck scarf i have been working on. i am full of new ideas of things i want to try to make too but there is only one of me and I cannot do it all alone at the pace I wish to have the things in my head completed. it leaves me emotionally drained and physically drained just thinking about it all not to mention trying to do it all. God I am so tired, and not only tired but all the meds for pain aren't helping as much as they should be.

this is how it starts

this is typically how an afghan starts out for me. I roll all the yarn needed into easy to handle balls that don't tangle up while in use. this afghan will be a double strand thickness and will be crocheted in sections. then each section will be hand sewn onto the next to form a pattern. it took me abouyt 4 hours to roll all the yarn. if i feel like it tonight i will start crocheting the sections, if not then I will start them tomorrow. this afghan will take me a while to complete.
